Welcome to PleasureLab ("we", "us", or "the App"). We take the protection of your personal information seriously and comply with applicable privacy laws including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and the PRC Personal Information Protection Law. Please read this Privacy Policy carefully before using the App.
1. About Us
App Name: PleasureLab
Nature of the App: Adult (18+) sexual wellness & education platform
Developer: Shenzhen Zhilun Effect Technology Co., Ltd.
Registered Address: Shenzhen Software Park, No. 2 Gaoxin Middle 2nd Road, Maling Community, Yuehai Street, Nanshan District, Shenzhen, China

2. Nature of the Content
PleasureLab provides sexual health education, communication skills for intimate relationships, and sex-psychology explainers — delivered via video, text, and audio. The content is intended solely for users aged 18 and older and does not constitute medical, psychological, or legal advice. For any related health concerns, please consult a qualified healthcare professional.
3. Age Restriction and Protection of Minors
The App is intended for users aged 18 and older. Persons under 18 are not permitted to register, sign in, or use the App. We take the following measures to protect minors:
- An age-confirmation and policy-consent modal appears on first launch and blocks access until confirmed;
- We do not advertise on channels directed at minors (e.g., kids' app-store categories, youth-oriented social platforms);
- We do not collect age, name, government ID, or any other information that would identify a minor;
- If we learn that a user is under 18, we will promptly disable the account and delete associated data. Guardians may also email support@flywheeleffect.net to request removal.

We do not collect your precise location, contacts, photos, microphone recordings, or browsing history outside the App.
5. Special Notice for Sensitive Personal Information
What you browse or unlock in PleasureLab (e.g., which sexual-wellness video) may constitute "special category" data under GDPR Article 9 (data concerning sex life or sexual orientation). We apply additional safeguards:
- Minimization: We only record "this user/device unlocked show_id X". We do not record fine-grained watch time, pause position, heart rate, expression, or any derived signals;
- No profiling, no ad targeting: We do not build user profiles from these records, do not use them for third-party advertising, and do not share or sell them to any third party;
- Explicit consent: When you tick "I am 18+ and accept the Privacy Policy" on first launch, you give your explicit consent under GDPR Article 9 to our processing of this special-category data. You may withdraw consent at any time (see "Your Rights" below);
- Encryption: Data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored on disk-encrypted databases.
6. Payments and Third Parties
Subscriptions and points purchases are processed by Stripe, Inc. When you pay, your card number, CVV, and expiry are handled directly by Stripe's PCI-compliant systems; we do not see or store your full card details. Stripe's privacy notice is at https://stripe.com/privacy.
If you use Apple Sign In or Google Sign In, those identity providers handle your sign-in under their own privacy policies; we only receive the stable identifier and email returned in the sign-in callback.
Aside from the payment and sign-in providers above, the App does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or data-collection SDK.
7. System Permissions We Request
To provide the corresponding features, the App may request the following permissions, which you can review and manage at any time in system Settings:
| Permission | Purpose | Required |
|---|---|---|
| Network Access | Communicate with our service and Stripe | Yes |
| App Tracking Transparency (iOS) | Only when you opt in, to improve experience. Not used for cross-app ad tracking. | No |
The App does not request access to the camera, photo library, microphone, location, contacts, or health data.
8. Data Storage Location and International Transfers
We serve users in multiple regions; your data is stored as follows:
- Users in mainland China: data stored on Alibaba Cloud servers located in mainland China;
- Users outside mainland China: data stored on Alibaba Cloud international nodes (Hong Kong / overseas);
- Payment data: processed by Stripe under its global compliance architecture (including the US and EU).
For users outside the app's primary region of operation, cross-border data transfers may occur. We rely on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or equivalent safeguards.
9. Data Retention
Account data, subscription records, and payment receipts are retained for as long as your account is active. After account deletion, except for financial records required by law (e.g., 10 years for tax purposes in mainland China), we will anonymize or delete your data within 30 days. Anonymous device wallets and unlock records are automatically purged after 24 months of inactivity.
10. Your Rights
Subject to applicable law, you have the following rights regarding your personal information; exercise them by emailing support@flywheeleffect.net:
- Access / Copy your account information and unlock records;
- Correct inaccurate account information;
- Delete your account and associated data;
- Withdraw consent for processing your sexual-wellness browsing/unlock records — upon withdrawal we will stop relevant processing and delete those records;
- Object to automated decision-making, data portability, lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (applies to GDPR users).
We will respond within 15 business days.
11. Updates to This Privacy Policy
This Policy may change with App updates. For material changes, we will provide a prominent in-app notice and re-display the consent modal so you can confirm again. We will not reduce your rights under this Policy without your explicit consent. The revised version will be published on this page with an updated date.
